Please let us know if you will be able to join us as soon as possible, but latest by above date.

Coming from two different countries, we are grateful to gather our loved ones

Celebrating the beginning of our life together in Sweden means a great deal to us, and we are so happy to share this day with family and friends from near and far.

What to wear

Dress in whatever makes you feel comfortable and ready to celebrate. Out of respect for wedding tradition, please avoid wearing fully white or fully red outfits on the day.

Your presence is the gift

Your presence is what matters most to us. For those travelling from afar, we are well aware that the journey itself — the time, the effort, the expense — is more than gift enough, and we would never dream of expecting anything more. For those joining us from closer to home, a gift is always appreciated but never expected. Should anyone wish to give something, a modest monetary contribution would mean a great deal to us.

Getting here and where to stay

Västerås has plenty of hotels and Airbnbs if you prefer to arrange things independently. If you would like recommendations or help planning your trip, feel free to reach out and we will do our best to assist. For a limited number of guests there is also the possibility to stay with members of Rasmus's family. Spots are few, so if this interests you please let us know as soon as possible so we can make arrangements.

Weather in January

The venue is fully heated and you will be comfortable inside throughout the day. Sweden in January can however be cold — expect possible snow and temperatures down to -20°C. We recommend checking the weather forecast for Västerås before you travel and dressing warmly for your journey to and from the venue.

Plan your arrival

For international guests, we kindly recommend arriving in Sweden at least one day before the wedding. This gives you time to settle in, recover from the journey, and enjoy the day feeling rested.

Getting here by air

We recommend booking flights early to secure the best prices as fares tend to increase closer to the date.

From Arlanda to Västerås

Once you land at Arlanda there are a few ways to get to Västerås.

Money in Sweden

Sweden uses Swedish krona (SEK). Cash is rarely used and nowadays rarely accepted in stores — card payment is the norm everywhere, so there is no need to bring cash.

Planning a speech?

We would love for you to speak at our wedding.

It is also perfectly fine for multiple people to speak together if you would like.

To be confirmed

Speech can be held in Czech or English.

The day's programme

The programme is currently under active discussion. Vendy thinks it will sort itself out on the day. Rasmus has a colour-coded spreadsheet with three contingency plans. Somewhere in between, a schedule will emerge — and when it does, we will post it here.
